JUMP TO RECIPE

Citrusy lemonade and herbal Jägermeister make the perfect pairing in this spooky punch. We’ve added monster’s eyeballs made from berry-stuffed grapes for extra eeriness and a bit of green food coloring in celebration of Frankenstein’s monster (but you can skip that if you don’t like food coloring). The result is a decorative drink to celebrate this All Hallows’ Eve.

Instructions

Frankensteins Punch instructions
  • First, poke holes inside the grapes using a plastic straw. Simply place the straw at the stem of a grape and push it down.
  • Fill the holes with the blueberries and red currants to make “monster eyeballs.” Place the eyeballs into the freezer for 10 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl or jug, mix the lemonade with the Jägermeister.
  • If using, add a bit of food coloring into the mixture.
  • Stir and fill the glasses with the punch.
  • Add the chilled eyeballs and serve.

Tips & Tricks

  • Most food coloring is synthetic. If you want something natural, go for natural and plant-sourced versions. Most are sold in dropper bottles and are a bit more expensive than synthetic food dyes.
  • To make the grape eyeballs more realistic, consider peeling their skins off. Start at the base and slowly peel away until only the flesh is exposed. This may be more time-consuming, but it will look more realistic.
  • Alternatively, you can use fresh lychees instead. Don’t go for canned versions since these are usually preserved in sugary syrup.
